Target Weekly Ad

Target does not price match their own weekly ads if the sale starts after your purchase. However, they do offer price adjustments within 14 days if an item you bought at regular price goes on sale in-store or on Target.com. You'll need your receipt and can request the adjustment at Guest Services. Target also price matches select competitors including Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and others on identical items at the time of purchase, but this requires showing proof of the lower price before you complete your transaction. Target's RedCard holders get an additional 5% discount that applies on top of sale prices but doesn't combine with price match requests.

You can return items purchased using Target Circle offers, but the Circle earnings or discounts associated with that purchase will be deducted from your refund. For example, if you earned 1% back through Target Circle on an item you're returning, that 1% will be removed from your account. If you used a Circle offer for a percentage off or a specific dollar amount discount, your refund will be for the amount you actually paid after the discount, not the original price. Target Circle earnings typically post a few days after purchase, so immediate returns might not show the earnings deduction until your account updates.

Target does not accept expired manufacturer coupons according to their official coupon policy. Registers are programmed to reject coupons past their expiration dates, and cashiers don't have override authority for this. Target does accept manufacturer coupons combined with Target Circle offers on the same item, which provides stacking opportunities similar to using store and manufacturer coupons together. If you regularly use coupons at Target, organizing them by expiration date and checking your collection before shopping trips prevents checkout delays and ensures you're using coupons while they're still valid.

Target generally accepts returns on items without tags as long as you have your receipt and the item is in new, unused condition with original packaging. The barcode on the packaging often suffices for processing the return even if the hang tag or sticker tag is missing. For clothing and soft goods, removing tags before trying items at home is common, and Target typically still accepts these returns within the standard return window if they're unworn and unaltered. Without a receipt, returns become more difficult regardless of tags, and Target may refuse the return or offer only the lowest sale price as store credit. Keep packaging and tags until you're certain you're keeping an item, as this makes the return process smoother and eliminates any potential questions about the item's condition or authenticity.

Target Plus items, which are products sold by third-party sellers on Target.com, follow Target's standard return policy of 90 days for most items when purchased online. You can return Target Plus purchases to any Target store or by mail, just like items sold directly by Target. However, some Target Plus items may have specific restrictions noted on the product page, and certain categories like marketplace electronics or specialty items might have shorter return windows. When returning Target Plus items by mail, you typically use the prepaid return label included with your shipment. The key difference is that refunds for Target Plus items may take slightly longer to process than direct Target purchases since the third-party seller must receive and verify the return before Target issues your refund.
